our equipment

The DOFF system is an industry-leading piece of equipment that requires annual training and a service plan to stay registered as a reputable DOFF rosette holder.

The DOFF system allows us to work on heritage sites and listed buildings as it is approved by Scottish Heritage, The National Trust for Scotland and many local councils around Scotland.

  • DOFF cleans stonework and masonry using high-temperature steam.

Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. The surface is therefore not saturated and will be dry within minutes.

The superheated water vapor will remove paint, moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity.

  • There is absolutely 0% Surface Damage.

We recommend the DOFF for use on surfaces such as brick, stone, concrete, tiled (glazed and encaustic), wood, faience and terracotta.

The DOFF is also a useful sterilisation tool for kitchens, toilets, swimming pools, hospitals and factories.

  • The DOFF Recovery System or DRS is a specialist ancillary to the DOFF system for internal cleaning works or for use in areas where water recovery is an issue.

It has a hooded lance that extracts all steam, water and debris into a specially developed vacuum unit via a heavy-duty, high-temperature hose.

Water is pumped out of the unit automatically and debris is collected in a catch tank.
